George is a Jacksonville native. He attended public schools in Jacksonville, graduating from Englewood High School in 1975. After graduating from Florida State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing, George began a 20 year career with Colgate-Palmolive in Sales and Sales Management. In the early 1990's, George became involved with construction and renovation of real estate. After retiring from Colgate-Palmolive in 1999, he expanded into real estate development. His successful entrepreneurial experience in the last seven years has included development of raw land for home-sites, renovation of historic homes in St. Augustine, new construction of Town Home projects, as well as commercial land development and construction. George has been married for 25 years and has two children.
