Graduating from Virginia Tech in 1981 with a BA in Business and Education, Bruce moved to Richmond, Virginia where he began a 16-year career with the C. H. Robinson Company, a non-asset based transportation and produce company. Bruce held managing positions of various levels within the C. H. Robinson Company across the United States including Richmond, VA, Jacksonville, FL, Memphis, TN and Los Angeles, CA. It was during this time that he became involved in the shipping of building products and the installation of specialty products for the home as well as commercial businesses.  Bruce's talent were especially honed on specialty problems in the expansion of Borders Books and the store closings for Walden Books. He retired in 1998 and moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and has worked primarily as a volunteer in the St. John's County School system and within the Ponte Vedra Athletic Association. Bruce is an avid golfer and currently has real estate investments in Ponte Vedra Beach, St. Augustine and Northwest St. John's County. He is married with three children.
